THE NECESSITY OF LIVING A PURE LIFE. (Part Three)

Grace and peace to you. Here is the word for today.

📖Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”📖

✅Purity of Heart is the prerequisite for seeing God. Therefore, we need cleansed hearts.
Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
The Heart is used in Scripture as the most comprehensive term for the authentic person. It is the part of our being where we desire, deliberate, and decide. It is the place of conscious and decisive spiritual activity.

✅Mark 7:21-23 “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” The dirty heart does its own thing. It may present a beautiful exterior but inwardly care less or be tainted with idols of its own making. It’s the root of the problem. Jeremiah reminds us that the heart is deceitful and wicked.

✅It doesn’t matter how good you look on the inside. How’s the heart? Scientists have discovered that every snowflake has a tiny piece of dust at its core. Yes, every snowflake has a “dirty heart” But you can decide like Daniel did in Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”

✅No matter how good we may look to those around us and ourselves, God looks at the heart. When the blood of Christ is applied to the heart, it cleanses us from all sin. Not a speck of defilement remains, for God removes every stain and washes us even whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:7). So ask God cleanse you and to do what David asked in Psalms 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” AMEN.🙏🙏🙏
