Ephesians 3:14-16 “14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 (in order) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

 

To know God , is to allow His power to work in you by strengthening your inner man through filling it with God’s word. What is the inner man? The inner man is the real you. The inner man is your soul, your thought, your actions. The inner man is what make you. The Greek word for “STRENGTHENED in verse 16 ” means to be made strong, to increase in strength, to grow strong. You will never be able to stand firm in your faith. You will never be solid in your Christian life, until you allow the Spirit of God to strengthen you.

If you want the power of God to work in your life, then God must be the God of all of you and things in your life. Every breath and every heartbeat is sourced in God. He is the one who lifts one up and puts another down. He is the one who opens the doors of opportunity.These are the people God is looking for in this world; people who make him the number one priority in their lives. They realize knowing God is central to living successfully in this world. They want to have God’s favor on their life. In order for this to happen they need to know his ways so they can follow Him.

There are many things that can keep us from having an intimate relationship with God: other people, confused priorities, “stuff,” busyness, you name it! But as Christians we should be willing to swim upstream against the world system. We should have a different worldview. We should live differently, act differently, and be motivated by factors unknown to most of the world.

God led Moses and the people through the wilderness of their day. That wilderness was bewildering at times, complex at others, downright confusing, and often threatening! And yet, Moses and the Israelites saw the finger of God at work in their circumstances in numerous ways. When we look to God for direction, we find Him to be faithful.

This is not to say that life will be easy. There will be hard times, but God will be there with us. The wise person of today will acquaint himself with God, and become a Christian, living to convert the perishable into the imperishable, holding on to values that will echo into eternity. In this case, it’s really who you know that counts.Honestly, is your relationship with God your number one priority or is it just a relationship of convenience? What in your life do you need to submit to God so that He is the most important thing in your life?

 

As you strive to God, May you totally depend and trust in God for everything because He is the only one you need . May this prayer of the psalmist be yours too; Psalm 16: 5 ” You, Lord, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands”. Hallelujah in Jesus Name . AMEN
