Exodus 34:29 “And it came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.” (NAS)
To know God is not about observing external rules or a list of what to do and not to do. To know God is about being with Him and spending time in His presence. . When we like to be around a person, we make time to be with them. We like to experience their presence for increasing time periods. Each one of us needs to be spending time with God!Moses had this same type of relationship with God. Moses made it very clear he wanted to know God and his ways, and God showed Moses who he really was: “He made known His ways to Moses and His acts to the sons of Israel” (Psalm 103:7, NASB).People get to know our character when we spend time with them. Actions become somewhat predictable when we know the character of someone. We learn whether or not we can place our trust in them.As our relationship develops with God, we find we want to spend more and more time with him. He becomes more and more real in our lives. We realize His Word literally gives life to our mortal bodies, and he reveals more and more of Himself to us. We begin to see His working in the circumstances in our lives. We find more and more that we really do need Him. Yes, this is the relationship of relationships! Everything boils down to our relationship with God.
The more we desire to know God through relating with Him, we experience transformation inside out of our lives. As we search for ways to know God and relate with Him, May everything pertaining our lives change positively rediating God’s glory in Jesus Name. Amen!
