Shalom beloved family of God. Here is the word for today.
✍You were created to get understanding and work for peace. We should seek understanding and peace rather than focus on being right in a situation. When we are so focused on being right, we often miss the opportunity to strengthen a relationship. People may not always remember exactly what we say, but they will usually remember the attitude with which it was said. “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9)
✍You were created to be a light that points others back to God. Rather than having a spotlight on us and what we do or what we have accomplished, we should desire to be a light that points others back to God. Recorgnition from others don’t satisfy, but hoping to one day hear, “My Good and Faithful Servant” surely does. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill that cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).
✍You were created to dwell and enjoy God’s presence. Instead of being a slave to work, and being considered a workaholic, we should prefer to be God’s children who longs to dwell and enjoy His presence. God’s presence is where we find peace, joy, satisfaction, and hope. “You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever” (Psalm 16:11). Hope the series of this week helps you to be really what you were created to be for the glory of God. Have a blessed weekend.
