Ekgim daily devotion. Greetings of peace to you beloved family of God.
đź“–Hebrews 4:14 Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. ✍God, our benevolent and gracious God, knows what pain is. He knows what disappointment feels like and He knows how stubborn mankind is because He created all things (Colossians 1:16), knows all things (Psalm 139), and can experience in perfect matrimony, all things. God is not only the creator of what is visible but also what is invisible (Colossians 1:16). This includes everything in the spiritual realm, including our emotional state.
✍There is nothing worse than experiencing a painful season and feeling unseen. Feeling as if your friends, family, spouse, and co-workers cannot relate to – or simply don’t care about – your hurt. It is a crushing sensation to experience heartache and feel as if nobody cares. I know, because I have experienced this before. We fall victim and believe that our season of pain is so unique that nobody could ever relate to it and that nobody will ever understand why we feel how we do. Well, that’s a lie. If we invite Christ to meet us right where we are, knowing full well that He knows our pain and without masking our emotions, we can be triumphant in our defeats.
✍Our greatest reassurance as Christians, we know that God is there for us. He will never forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). He freely helps those who call upon Him in their time of need (Psalm 46:1) and there is nothing that can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). Because of Jesus’ painful death, we can one day stand in the eternal presence and radiant glory of our Creator. May the lord empathize with your pain and weakness by gracing you with help in Jesus Name. Amen!
