Grace and peace to you. Here is the word for today.
📖Read Romans 12:1-11📖
Another important principle for making a lasting change in your life is:-
✅Renewing and refocusing your mind. Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (NIV)
✍Whatever gets your attention gets you. Your a thought product of yourself. As a man thinketh, so is he. The way you think determines how you live and who you are. That’s why you need to think about what you’re thinking about. Don’t focus on what’s bad for you; focus on what’s good. Choosing not to conform means to stop copying everyone else. Too often, we let other people shape our lives. Paul says we need a model, but it’s not the world around us. Only one person can perfectly model the changes you want to make in your life and that person is Jesus Christ . Twenty times in the Bible, Jesus says, “Follow me.” And six times Paul says, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” Renewing the mind is an ongoing process. Every day you need to take time to study the Word of God so you can purposely think according to what it says.
✍To have a positive change in your life, you have to Set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things… (Colossians 3:2 AMP).
This is the key to resisting temptation. See, when you make up your mind ahead of time what you will and won’t do, then when temptation comes, you have laid a foundation to make right choices and you are more likely to successfully overcome the temptation. For example, before you get into social situations, decide “I am not going to gossip. I’m not going to ruin someone’s reputation and offend the Holy Spirit.” Other temptations may require you to decide things like “I’m not going to drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes no more or “I am not going to look at pornography on the Internet.” Or “I am not going to hang out with people who have bad influences.” My point here is, you don’t have to wait until the temptation comes and then react based on how you feel about it. It’s so important for us to understand this because if we don’t learn how to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (see 2 Corinthians 10:4-5), we won’t live the life Jesus died to give us.
🛐🛐🛐May you have the mind of Christ in you. Able to discern spiritual things from the natural . Able to know the will of God and to do it for the glory of God in Jesus Name. Amen!
